Loreto, Mexico – 22July2017 – 27July2017

End of July, I took a trip to Loreto, Mexico. I spent the first part of my vacation certifying Ezra as an Open Water Diver. The second part, I got to enjoy some underwater photography. The location was absolutely beautiful.

I loved the little town I was in. I wished I had known about the caves that have cave drawings on them before I had headed down there. I would have made sure to add that into my plans. Maybe next time…

The dive company, Dolphin Dive Baja was phenomenal and I would dive with them again in a heartbeat. The dive sites were beautiful. And the tiny creatures you could find if you looked closely were amazing.

Can you see the scorpion fish in these two pictures? They blend in so well to their environment.MichelleNelsonLoretoMexico2017-31MichelleNelsonLoretoMexico2017-45

Of course there were plenty of animals to see. I wish I had gotten a photo of the huge school of mantas or the pod of dolphins playing in the wake of the boat.

Loreto is definitely on my list of places to return to.

A interesting sight was the sheep in the sides of the rock walls as we headed back to town from the dive sites.
